Financial District

The Financial District, also known as FiDi, has made a lot of changes in recent years. Wall Street is relocating because of changes that include the newly renovated South Street Pier 17 that was once the site of the oldest fish market in the world. Since the Fulton Fish Market relocated to Hunts Point, Bronx, the Financial District has taken a turn in a different direction. People are moving there in droves for that trendy New York feeling.

Real estate is booming. There are 370 square foot studios for $425,000 and three to four bedroom condos for $2.4 million. The area is the site of many historic places including the New York Stock Exchange, One Trade Center, September 11 Historical Museum, and the Statue of Liberty.

Downtown Brooklyn

Brooklyn is getting a full makeover in areas such as Greenpoint that now has new waterfront high-rise condos and Fort Greene with scenic brownstones that has a 67% increase in sales.

Brooklyn is the new hotspot for young creative entrepreneurs who fled to the neighborhood since 2010. The weather is a bit more relaxing in this part of town and everyone from different races and backgrounds reside here.

Once a high-crime area, Brooklyn has changed so much with many new trendy places for everyone to enjoy. People prefer to live here than in expensive Manhattan across the Brooklyn Bridge. Welcome to Brooklyn!

Harlem is home of the infamous Apollo Theatre at the center of a unique area that is constantly changing for the better. The average median sales price is $456,425, but still cheaper than Manhattan. The area has a magnetic feel with smooth jazz in the streets and historic landmarks as people from all walks of life party in their entry-level moderately priced apartments. This is what attracts them to Harlem.
